i set my clocks early
By SoGoodInBlue

When we got back to Patrick's we were still arguing.

“Let it go already!” I shouted at him.

“Do you forgive me?”

“No.”

“Then I won't stop.”

“Take off your clothes.”

“No I'm not stopping till…wait. What?”

“You hared me Stumph, I'm dressing you so you can look all sexy for Leila.”

“But is it really necessary that you see me naked?” he wined.

“Who said anything about naked? Leave your boxers on.”

“Oh.” He started with his clothes on the way up the stairs throwing his shirt on the bed wile I skipped over to his wardrobe and started looking for things that fit Leila's specifications. When I found a plain black t-shirt I threw it at him.

“Some warning would have been nice.” He moaned. I turned round to see him in nothing but boxers and socks with the shirt draped over his head.

“Shut up and put it on! Man, you get cranky when you're horny.”

“EH! Shut up! Besides this is Leila were talking about. She's a good girl if you know what I mean.” He said wile pulling the shirt over his head.

“Oh. Aw. That's cute you can pop each other's cherries!”

“Like you can talk.” He practically whispered. I threw a pair of dark blue jeans at him in response. He gave me evils and picked them up.

“I think you'll find not having a boyfriend is a valid reason not to… Y'know.”

“So get one.” Patrick shrugged. “It shouldn't be so difficult for someone like you.”

I smiled at him and handed him a bright green hoodie. “Seriously?” I asked.

“Erm…yeah! Do you not notice how often you get checked out? Like in school, the Mall, at shows, the list goes on and on.” He shrugged the hoodie onto his shoulders.

“Yeah I notice! But to be honest it's only for one reason.” I said gesturing to my body.

“Exactly. They think you're hot. They can't get to know you just by looking, Jal. And not all dudes are that shallow! Don't stereotype. The fact that they are looking means they wouldn't mind getting to know you.”

“Suppose. Anyways. Now you look all hot for Leila. Oh! I forgot the hat!” I said rushing back to the wardrobe. “It's not here. Were is that one with I heart bingo written on it?”

“So I got something right.” He smiled picking the hats up off the bed were he'd thrown it and placing it back on his head. I smiled at him.

“Looks like you did. What time is this thing?” I said looking at the clock on his bedside table.

“I have to meet her at the movies in an hour.” He stated after checking the clock himself.

“You're not picking her up? Tut tut.” I teased.

“Jal, she lives across the street from it.” he laughed laying down on his bed and pulling me down with him.

“Still you could save her thirty seconds.” I joked making him giggle a little more. loved his laugh. I swear his laugh hadn't changed since he was two.

We lay there laughing and joking until he had to meet her. He gave me a ride home in his messed up pick up truck despite it being one road away.

“Need a courage hug?” I said watching the way his hands were shaking a little on the wheel.

“I think I might just do.” He mumbled. We both got out the car and walked to my doorstep were I gave him a good ten second hug. When I pulled back I kissed his cheek.

“Patrick your fine. You should hear the way she talks about you. You could take her to watch paint dry and she'd still tell me she had the best night ever.”

“Damn lip gloss!” was all he could say, wiping his cheek. I smiled at him.

“You're gonna be late. You'd better get going!”

“Oh god.” He said walking down the path back to his car. He was so stupidly cute when he was nervous. As soon as he got there I knew he'd be fine. Leila was like a sleeping pill for his nerves. Why I knew she was so perfect for him.

My eyes fluttered open as soon as I was aware of someone knocking on my door. Knocking being the understatement of the century.

“Jal. Jal? Jal! JAL! It's Patrick. Can I come in?”

“I don't give a fuck who you are. Turn your ass round and get away from my cage!!! The daemon won't open it till at least ten! Did you not notice it's a Saturday?”

“Your mom warned me you might be like this. You always were a nightmare in the mornings.” Patrick said as he walked in to my room (without permission I might add) and patting my back through the duvet.

“Go. The. Hell. Away.” I moaned into a pillow as I threw another over my head.

“Jal I don't want to do something I don't have to.” He warned.

“Then don't fucking do it and let me sleep.”

“You leave me no choice.” Before I knew what was happening my bed disappeared beneath me and I was swept up in a pair of arms and placed on my feet. I fell straight back onto the bed in my t-shirt and girl boxers.

“For fucks sake Jal, GET UP!”

“Why'd you do that?”

“Were going boyfriend hunting.” He said. I opened my eyes and raised one eyebrow at him. “For you!”

At this point I just sat up and decided to stop fighting a loosing battle.

“Oh my god did you just move voluntarily?” he joked, faking shock. I playfully slapped his arm. He smiled. “Good morning.” he kissed my forehead.

“Is it? And keep those lips to yourself buddy boy. They nearly cost you a black eye yesterday.” I said pushing him to one side.

“Hey Leila likes it.” he grinned beginning to make my bed.

“Ahhh…what happened?” I grinned back standing at my wardrobe and picking out clothes.

“Well Y'know how you spent ages dressing me yesterday?”

“Yeah?”

“Well there wasn't really much point.” I turned to him, mouth open watching as his cheeks turn a never before seen shade of red.

“WHAT! Clothes came off?” I asked, practically gob smacked.

“Yes they most certainly did.” He said sitting down on my bed.

“Did you?”

“Did we…what?” he teased.

“Patrick! Spill!”

“Well we got pretty close.”

“But?”

“But she stopped me.”

“Just how close were you?”

“Pretty fucking close.”

“She's going to be unbearable for the next few days.” I mumbled turning back to my wardrobe.

“Are you kidding? I can't wait to see her!” He exclaimed.

“I meant for me collumbo.”

“Oh. Yeah sorry about that. And remember your dressing to impress. But still nothing too slutty. Although a little something to look at couldn't hurt.”

“Urgh whatever pimp, I'm going for a shower.” I yawned taking my clothes in with me.

When I came back in it took a second for Patrick to notice I'd returned but when he did his reaction was priceless.

I was wearing a black tank top with the top of a red bra only just showing and black skinny jeans that accented my ass perfectly. My dark hair was in loose curls falling around my waist but my fringe remained straight only just falling over my right eye, which I had purposely used black and silver make-up on to bring out the green colour. My lips were painted a glossy red; something Leila and I liked to call “come hither” makeup. Patrick's eyes were popping.

“Okay my girlfriend is the hottest thing walking the planet but oh my god you look sexy as hell.”

“Really? Not too much?” I smiled turning round so he could see the whole image.

“Perfect. Wanna go guy shopping?” He said standing up.

“Yes!” I giggled.

“One condition. No creeps. I have to approve before you make a move.”

“Whatever. But see how that rhymed? You could totally be a musician.” I said as we walked out of my room and down the stairs.

“Don't start.”

Thanks for reading! And also thank you so much for my lovely reviews. I wrote this as soon as I saw I actually had reviews. Its true that reviews bring the plot bunnies with them you know. They definitely did for me!

So as you can see (if you read the one that disappeared as well) were still not past the first chapter of the first go at the story but I'm adding a lot more detail and much better ideas now. Also my chapters used to go on and on but I'm pretty busy now and prefer to upload frequent shorties rather than scarce long ones so there you go.

Hope your still lovin' it and if you are please let me know!!! On the other hand if you're not lovin' it please let me know as well and any criticism is ALWAYS welcome.

Love goes to all readers (Extra for reviewers of course!)
